The Game Developers Conference Canada (GDC Canada) will take place in Vancouver on May 6-7, 2010. The conference is a chance for game developers to network , learn, and share ideas about the video games industry.

GDC Canada evolved from the Vancouver Game Summit and will keep the same perspective of catering to Canadian game developers.

The 1st Annual Canadian Videogame Awards will be taking place on May 5th, 2010 in Vancouver. The event will be recognizing Canada's talent in games, computer animation and visual effects.

Several awards will be given including Best Downloadable Game, Best Game Design, Best Visual Arts, and Game of the Year.
